Customer Quality Engineer

Description:

This is a key role to facilitate and carry out customer quality support for strategic Automotive and Industrial Accounts, as well as AEC grade product qualification process management. You will work closely with related Business and Engineering groups to ensure timely responses for customer quality requests and requirements.

What you will be doing.

  • Critical front-line interface for all quality, reliability, and manufacturing questions or issues for the assigned strategic Automotive and Industrial customers.
  • Project-manage quality issues diagnoses and root-cause analysis with FA, PE / TE / AE / RE, co-develop 8D Reports / CAPA and mange customer communications.
  • Internalize customer feedback regarding Quality and Reliability performance against Automotive customer requirements and relative to our competition.
  • Improve and implement processes with Customer (Product Qualification, Spec & Document review and Auditing etc.)
  • Provide guidance & recommendations to Engineering teams on how best to address customer issues and further elevate customer satisfaction.

What you need to work here.

  • 10+ years experience in Semiconductor Engineering and Quality functions
  • 5+ years in Customer Quality Engineering in Automotive and Industrial sectors.
  • BSEE required
  • MSEE preferred
  • Hands on experience with quality tools and statistics, and structured problem solving techniques (Lean 6-Sigma, SPC/PAT etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Semiconductor manufacturing, key aspects of analog IC tests & how ATE test correlates with device behavior and quality, typical silicon / package reliability fail mechanisms and symptoms of long term failures, especially in single-die and high current DC-DC applications.
  • Takes iniative to drive issue resolution as a skilled seasoned team player.
  • Strong verbal and written skills. Strong influence and negotiation skills to respond to difficult news. Effective handling of sensitive and proprietary information.
